The social construction of sexual violence for female politicians

The phenomenon of sexual violence is illustrated as the iceberg phenomenon. Every year number cases increases. Among victims violence, women are most common ones. This study aimed to examine how social construction from side female politicians. research method was qualitative. Primary data were obtained through observation and in-depth interviews. theory employed by Peter L. Berger Thomas Luckmann. results showed that in externalization process, a reality still has weaknesses its handling Indonesia due existence patriarchal values society. objectification process resulted debate between use KUHP Elimination Sexual Violence Bill (RUU PKS) legal basis for violence. internalization reinterpretation after objectivation. concludes, this politicians interpret an act attacking sexuality victim which damages physical psychological aspects.
